Prof. Dr. JOHN GRADY,
Prof. Dr. Grady is both chief of podiatry and director of the prestigious podiatric surgical residency program at the Veterans Administration Chicago Healthcare Westside Division. He is also on the surgical staff of Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, and Little Company of Mary Hospital. In addition, Dr. Grady is the founder of Foot & Ankle Institute of Illinois. Prof. Grady has developed many types of reconstructive surgeries, such as complex diabetic Charcot reconstruction. He has advanced training in peripheral nerve decompression and repair from Johns Hopkins University. Currently, Dr. Grady is the scientific chairman of the Midwest Podiatry Conference, which is the largest podiatric conference in the nation, and is a past president of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Grady is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, the American Board of Podiatric Orthopaedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, and the American Board of Wound Management. He is a fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, the American College of Wound Management, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopaedics and Medicine.
Prof. Ramadani is the Head of the Traumatology Department at the “Klinikum Wels/ Grieskirchen”, Wels, Austria, American Hospital Pristina and Clinical Professor at theUniversity of Tetovo, Macedonia. He has advanced training in the multiligamentous knee surgery and patellofemoral instability.His preoccupation for the diabetic Charcot reconstruction involve the development ofthe dedicated implant (ankle-stable plate for diabetic foot).Recently, Dr. Ramadani was chosen Associate Pofessor at “Gr. T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi, Romania.
Professor of Trauma Surgery at the University Hospital "Carl Gustav Carus" Dresden, Department of Trauma and Reconstruction Surgery, Prof. Dr. Hans Zwipp was dedicated to lead research in different areas:
• Investigation of the interactions at biologized boundary layers of implants in the bone
• Biomechanical studies of the foot and ankle osteosynthesis
• Joint therapy of cartilage damage of the upper ankle
• Rescue medicine, accident research and polytrauma
• Minimally invasive suture of Achilles tendon rupture with the Dresden instrument
Dr. Zwipp has developed many types of reconstructive surgeries and C-Nail represents a new concept in calcaneal osteosynthesis.
He has also published numerous articles in medical journals and textbooks and it is well known that Zwipp calcaneal fracture classification presents a high correlation to the choice of therapy.
Prof. Dr. Ernst Orthner, Head of the Fußzentrum Wels and Klagenfurt is specialized in foot and ankle surgery.
His research efforts led to the development of the ankle arthroplasty and triple A prosthesis is synonym with his name.
Lapidus procedure was improved by his innovative locking plate.
